Again this year during LENT, we are holding a food and formula drive for two of our missions partners, Union Rescue Mission and Embrace of Wichita. URM’s mission is helping homeless and hurting people restore their lives through God’s love. The Mission is expecting a high volume of homeless neighbors coming through their doors this Spring, and their pantry is currently running low. Embrace gives hope to men and women experiencing unexpected pregnancies, empowering them to choose life. Please bring non-perishable food items and formula to the church and place in the collection bins in the Lobby March 19 – April 2. Let’s meet the needs of the hungry, both young and old!

Shopping List: canned foods, instant boxed potatoes, juice, pork and beans, baked beans, spaghetti sauce, rice, vegetable or olive oil, oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, sugar, flour, breakfast drinks, coffee, pancake syrup. They also always need cold medication, cough drops, tissues, paper towels and especially toilet paper.
Formula: Generic brands of Similac Powder Formula, – look for the orange or blue lid!

Join us at one of our three normal Sunday services times (8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.) as we celebrate the beginning of Holy Week.

Confirmation is an important step in the faith journey of our students as they claim their faith for their own. Confirmation involves sharing a personal testimony, learning the essentials of our faith and discovering how you can serve the church with your gifts and passions. We will share a meal together and then dive into content in a classroom format.

We’ll gather for worship with the worship band, hear a message from Matt Jaderston then partake in Communion together as we remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ command to love one another. (Child care for 0 – Pre-K available.)

This meaningful service includes music led by the choir followed by a message from Pastor Stan reminding us of Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross. (Child care for 0 – Pre-K available.)

First Thursdays at 7 p.m.; North Building
Once a month we gather on campus for a deep dive into a variety of topics like leadership, theology and more. We get the opportunity to hear from speakers and leaders of all kinds, with plenty of time for questions and discussion. Bring a friend!

What better way to celebrate the Sunday after Easter than with ice cream sundaes! Invite your friends, and come ready to make ice cream creations of epic proportions!

Eastminster partners with 20 local ministries and missionaries. Join us as we come alongside some amazing ministry partners right here in Wichita. We will head out in small groups across the city, volunteering at places like Youth Horizons, Hope Ranch 4 Women, and Washington School. At noon, we’ll gather together at Eastminster for a picnic lunch and time of celebration and sharing. This missions opportunity is intergenerational, so your whole family can serve together!

Pick which place and activity fits you best. It might be anything from yard clean-up and washing cars, to sorting clothing or praying for our missionaries. All ages welcome!

As we seek to impact the city with the gospel, Eastminster’s new Wichita Christian Forum welcomes the church and community to a night with Darryl Strawberry. Darryl is a former Major League Baseball player for the Mets, Dodgers, Giants and Yankees, and an eight-time All-Star, four-time World Series Champion, and National League Rookie of the Year. Wednesday, June 4, 6 – 8 p.m. & 9 – 11 p.m (HS only). North Building Lawn
This summer is starting off with a bang! Middle and high school students along with their parents are invited to join us for a grill-out, parent meeting, and a series Olympic-style games of epic proportions! Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun after the parent meeting! High school students are invited to stay after for a movie in the parking lot from 9 – 11 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair!
