Washington Elementary School
At Eastminster we LOVE our city! We want to see the Lord bless and redeem Wichita, and we want to be an active part of seeing it thrive. One way we do this is by partnering with Washington Elementary School, which serves families in the 259 district. Our goal is to serve and bless the teachers, staff, kids and families at Washington and display the love of Jesus in tangible ways. Our local missions team works closely with Washington leadership to identify the school’s unique needs and then seeks to meet those needs however we can. Overseas Missions Participants
To facilitate disciple making movement and the planting of Gospel-centered churches, focusing primarily on unreached and unengaged peoples, while educating, engaging, and encouraging our own congregation in accordance with our World Mission Charter.
• More than 25% of the world’s people groups are considered “unreached” with the gospel. This makes up more than 40% of the world’s population.
• Only 2% of all money given globally toward mission go toward the unreached.
• Only one in 10 international missionaries go to serve the unreached and unengaged
To accomplish our goal, Eastminster world missions is organized into regions, most focused on unreached areas of the globe. We encourage anyone interested in world missions to prayerfully choose a region to serve. Those serving each region are its champions, forming relationships with our missions partners there through care and prayer, organizing short-term trips to the region, etc.
• The Balkans (Albania, Macedonia, Romania)
• East Africa (Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia)
• Legacy (current partners outside the defined regions)
